Weekly Update for Grace & Trinity

8 January 2021
*Friday after the Epiphany*

Dear Saints and Friends of Grace & Trinity,

This Sunday is
T* The Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord* T
Joshua 3:1-3, 7-8, 13-17; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; Matthew 3:13-17 <ec2-52-26-194-35.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/x/d?c=10573087&l=572f93f3-7aa3-4fab-8a87-2ad819d732fa&r=ca0544db-a224-46b1-ada1-d6516a8fd03c>

What goes for Jesus goes for all of us who are baptized into Him—cross and resurrection. The Baptism of Jesus, however, also reminds us that what goes for us also goes for Him. This is the great Epiphany: God takes what is ours and gives us what’s His—and in so doing, “fulfills all righteousness” (Mt 3:15). *Join us at 8am at Grace and 11am at Trinity for the regular gathering of the baptized around Jesus and the gifts He gives.*

*Bible Study is at 9:30am at Trinity. *We’re starting chapter 12 of the Revelation of St. John. Please join us!

*Other things…*
· Again, I would like to thank Amelia Schneider for directing a wonderful children’s Nativity Pageant after the Epiphany service. She designed the set, made new costumes, updated old ones, and corralled a bunch of kids into a great recitation of the Christmas narrative according to St. Matthew. Well done, Amelia!
· I found a new site (wordfitlyspoken.org <ec2-52-26-194-35.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/x/d?c=10573087&l=c1c97686-da33-4a23-bfa5-3f86d760c31f&r=ca0544db-a224-46b1-ada1-d6516a8fd03c>) that gives short and helpful summaries for each Sunday of the year—check it out here <ec2-52-26-194-35.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/x/d?c=10573087&l=d7a2b382-91ae-440a-9eae-20c9debd031c&r=ca0544db-a224-46b1-ada1-d6516a8fd03c> .
