Reading Assignment: Due: Meyendorff, John and Tobias, Robert. Salvation in Christ: A Lutheran-Orthodox Dialogue. Minneapolis, Minnesota, Augsburg Fortress, 1992. (169 pages)

CATECHESIS begins September 11, 2024 with a meal at 5:15 p.m. There will be classes for all ages. Pastor Filipek will be teaching confirmation and adults, Kendall Patterson will be teaching elementary age, and Amy Filipek will be with preschool and younger children. Everyone is welcome!

If you wish to receive the Kansas District insert, you must order the Lutheran Witness through Trinity or your own congregation. The upcoming year will see a price increase for your subscription. It will be $32 per subscription paid to Trinity. If you are currently a subscriber and wish to discontinue your subscription, please cross off your name from the “Current LW Subscribers” list in the narthex. If you would like to keep your subscription, please mark “yes” to that same list. If you do not currently get the Lutheran Witness but would like to receive your own personal copy, please print your name and address on the list “New LW Subscriber.” Please put $32 into the offering plate for “LW subscription” before August 26. Copies of the Lutheran Witness may be checked out of the church library for free.
White Phoenix Kung Fu Aaron Carter will be teaching Kung Fu classes in the basement of Trinity until September. These classes are FREE to all Trinity members! Thank you Trinity members for your donations of personal hygiene products that were given to guests at the South Lord’s Diner Tuesday, August 6^th. Because of those donations, plus the Thrivent grant we obtained, we were able to help around 200 people with toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and bars of soap.
