John 12:12–19; Zechariah 9:9-12; Philippians 2:5-11; Matthew 26:1-27:66 <ec2-52-26-194-35.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/x/d?c=11961360&l=cba99876-acaf-459c-941c-6dfb46ec366e&r=5ee81e98-c643-4183-835a-8a21916fb43c>
Sunday begins Holy Week, a time of somber meditation and joyful worship of our Lord who humbly rode into Jerusalem to die for us and our salvation. We’ll begin in the parking Lot (Trinity) and in the Narthex (Grace) with palm branches in hand, just as the first crowd that greeted Him with loud shouts of “Hosanna!” Then, laying our palms at the foot of the chancel, we’ll pause to silently reflect on what these last days towards the cross mean. We’ll hear the passion read from the Gospel and carry that reflection forward during all of Holy Week. If you’ve never had the chance, please join us each day for prayer, meditation, and worship of the King who reigns from the cross.
*Join us Sunday at 8am at Grace and 11am at Trinity*, as well as *Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 7pm *for Compline, *Thursday at 7pm *for the Divine Service of Maundy Thursday, *Friday at noon *for the Chief Service and *Friday at 7pm *for our Tenebrae Vespers, and finally on *Saturday at 8pm *for the Easter Vigil.
*Bible Study this week is at 9:30am at Trinity. *We’re continuing with Revelation 17. Join us!

*Other things…*
· Earlier this week I was interviewed on KFUO’s radio program “Concord Matters”. With Pr. Peter Ill I discussed the first part of the Athanasian Creed. You can listen to it here <ec2-52-26-194-35.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/x/d?c=11961360&l=c91be849-bcdc-4936-a629-e9ce03c4c82f&r=5ee81e98-c643-4183-835a-8a21916fb43c> .
· Here’s this week’s lecture on Isaiah 56-66 <ec2-52-26-194-35.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/x/d?c=11961360&l=f587ad5a-3171-4422-ae28-2cd568fa349b&r=5ee81e98-c643-4183-835a-8a21916fb43c>. Enjoy!
· *RETURNING TO THE COMMUNION RAIL**: *With significantly lower infections in our area and the number of members already vaccinated, the Pastors and Elders at both Grace and Trinity have decided to return to our communion practice of receiving the Sacrament at the communion rail beginning Easter Sunday. The ushers will provide ample spacing between individuals or families to kneel and receive the Sacrament. If you’re uncomfortable kneeling at the rail, please feel free to stand. Because the offering is passed from hand to hand, permitting a greater spread of germ and disease, we’ve decided to keep the baskets in the Narthex for the time being.
*Prayer Requests…*
· For the family of Terry Berry (Cheryl Berry’s sister-in-law), who mourn for Terry as she fell asleep in Christ yesterday.
Many blessings and much joy to you all in Christ our life.
