There’s a dead boy being carried through the town when Jesus arrives. His widowed mother is weeping; the crowds are weeping; the world is weeping. Death should not be—but even more so for the children. Thanks be to God that when death confronts Jesus—His compassion, His mercy, His eternal and unfailing love—then death has no other option than to turn back and flee! And when death flees, the boy has no other option than to get up and speak. And so it goes also for you. · October 31st: Trinity’s annual Fall Festival & Oktoberfest! Join us from 12-3pm in Trinity’s parking lot for games, a bounce house, food, and beer tents. We could use some extra volunteers to help pull this off. If interested, please speak with Angie Patterson, Vicki Lessman, Scott Irwin, or myself.
· November 20-21: Youth Catechesis Retreat in Herington. More details to follow, but this is meant for the whole family!

And yet our Lord says to us, “*But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you*” (Mt 6:33). Last week, the Good Samaritan did literally everything for the fallen man; this week everything is done for the Samaritan. But what sets the Samaritan apart this time is his thanksgiving. How anyone could fail to give thanks to God for doing everything for us is incredible. And yet, how often do we find ourselves with bitter or angry hearts, jealous and discontent with what the Lord has given us? Join us this Sunday at 8am at Grace and 11am at Trinity as together we give thanks to God for all things!
